1. How does the service work?

Internet America has broadcasting towers set up throughout Navarro County. The antenna at your location sends and receives your secure internet signal to and from the nearest tower.

2. Can I choose my email account names?

Yes, as long as they are not already used by another customer.

3. Can I hook more than one computer up to my internet connection? If so, is there a charge?

You can connect multiple computers to your Broadband connection for no charge. You will require a router, if you don't already have one, to physically connect the computers.

4. Does Broadband have the same security vulnerabilities as other wireless systems, such as Wi-Fi?

No. Our technology is Canopy™ wireless, which is fundamentally different from Wi-Fi. Canopy uses a directional, point-to-point system instead of the roaming model employed by Wi-Fi. With Canopy, your signal is heavily encrypted to the highest available security standards.

5. If I move, can I take my Broadband service with me?

Yes, as long as the area you move to has coverage with our service. You only will need to pay for your new installation.
